An update on how Storm Éowyn is impacting our collection and delivery operation today

Red and amber weather warnings issued by the Met Office for this morning until tomorrow are severely disrupting our collection and delivery operation across Scotland and Wales today.

Storm Éowyn has seen extreme high winds of up to 100mph, which is restricting the arrival and movement of our linehaul vehicles to our depots in Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee and Central Scotland.

We are following Government advice and suspending services in central Scotland throughout this period, and some parcels due for delivery in Inverness, Aberdeen and Dundee are also likely to incur a 24 hour delay.

This morning the Police and National Highways have also closed Anglesey Bridge, limiting our access to deliver parcels in north-west Wales.

We will do everything possible to minimise any disruption to you and your customers, whilst also ensuring the safety of our team.

Delivery delays by area will be shown on our website and updated throughout the day, and you can view any impacted parcels on your MyDPD portal.

Any deliveries not attempted today will, weather permitting, be attempted for delivery over the weekend where it is safe to do so.

If we have your customers' contact details, we will also keep them updated and advise them of any delay.
